A computer engineer resume should be carefully drafted to impress your employer. It should highlight your technical skills and capabilities in it. It should be focused and be related to the post you have applied for.

The job of a computer engineer is a hectic one and it involves tasks such as managing or creating software programs, its testing and designing.

Some useful guidelines which will help you to draft an ideal computer engineer resume are described below:

• The resume should begin with the basic information such as your name, address, phone numbers and email in it.
• The next section below the contact information is the objective statement. It should be precise and related to the post you have applied for. This single statement should be well drafted and grab the attention of the employer.
• The objective statement can be written in two ways. It can be based either on the skills or your future career goals. You can refer to the objective samples and draft your own resume objective.
• The educational qualification section should include information about the degree or diploma that you have completed. You should give detailed information about the certifications that you have undertaken in the resume. The highest degree should be mentioned first in the resume. You can also include the information about any special training, certifications and seminars attended in your resume.
• The skills sections should clearly highlight your skills which would add credibility to your resume. Create separate section and list your technical skills in it.
• The work experience section should include information about the responsibilities undertaken by you in the previous job. The responsibility should be listed in reverse chronological order with the latest job profile listed first. This section should contain information about the name of the organization, post, duties undertaken, achievements and duration of work.
